The most effective parallel interference suppressor
We are increasingly surrounded by countless electrical devices. Computers, peripherals, cordless phones, charging adapters, multiple TVs, game consoles, microwaves, dishwashers, etc., are a common sight in most homes. All these devices pollute the mains with interference and noise. Some even to a significant degree. This mains pollution has a very detrimental – and usually underestimated – impact on the sound and image quality of your audio/video installation. The SNS PLUG is the simplest and most effective way to combat mains pollution. The SNS PLUG has been one of our most successful products for years, with many thousands of satisfied customers!
There are two types of filtering: serial and parallel
Series filtering
In this case, a coil is included in series with the consumer. The frequency of our mains (50 Hz) will be passed through almost completely – because the impedance (AC resistance) of the inductor is relatively low here. As the frequency increases (noise spectra), the impedance of the inductor will increase, thereby allowing less interference to pass through. The disadvantage of series filters is that at the very least, a loss always occurs due to the impedance of the inductor (at 50 Hz) and the resistance of the coil wire. The POWER SOURCE is a series filter, but due to its unique design, the disadvantage mentioned above is negligible!
Parallel filtering
This is based on the principle that the parallel impedance decreases as the frequency increases. Mains interference will view the parallel filter as a short circuit and be reflected back to the source. The SNS PLUG is a parallel filter. This means that the current to your equipment does not flow through the filter, making it impossible for dynamics loss to occur. Further advantages are the simple construction (low cost) and high flexibility. The disadvantage of parallel filtering is that it is less effective than series filtering…
Where to install?
The SNS PLUG can simply be plugged into any available socket. The most effective locations are:
1. As close as possible to the meter cupboard (the source).
2. In the power strip (or mains filter) of the audio/video installation.
3. Near sources of interference such as: computers plus peripherals, DECT phones, chargers for mobile phones or notebooks, light dimmers, energy-saving lamps, fluorescent and halogen lighting, air conditioners, refrigerators/freezers, washing machines and dryers, microwaves, central heating systems, etc.
Measuring instrument
The KE-MND (MAINS NOISE DETECTOR) is a measuring instrument that converts mains interference into sound.
With this, you can easily locate the mains disturbances in your home. If you place an SNS PLUG in the socket near a mains disturbance, you can check the effect with the MND. For maximum effect, you should align the red dot
with the phase of your socket. We also recommend that you experiment
as much
as possible – in different locations – with your SNS PLUG. Multiple SNS PLUGS – distributed throughout your home – are highly recommended! The SNS PLUG works best in a grounded socket. The SNS PLUG features surge protection against peak and inductive voltages. The stated current draw (88 mA) of the SNS PLUG is capacitive only. Your energy meter will not register this. The actual current consumption is only 0.25 mA.
Construction
The SNS PLUG consists of 3 resistors, 7 capacitors, 3 varistors, and one inductor. This configuration is also used in the output stage of the POWER SOURCE. All components are of the highest available quality. After final inspection, the complete circuit is filled with black sand. This provides even more clarity to the sound, as unwanted mechanical resonances then have no chance whatsoever. Our unique black sand is rich in precious metals and is therefore capable of absorbing EMI and RFI. Another important benefit is that the housing and contacts of your distribution box are damped; this effect corresponds to our AC STOPPER. The result of the SNS PLUG is a more powerful, wider, and deeper soundstage with more calmness, better-defined low frequencies, and less sharp highs with more detail. Dynamics INCREASE! The effect is immediate and clearly audible. The SNS PLUG can also be used in combination with other power filters. Even with the POWER SOURCE.

Je dois dire que le SNS Plug m a apporté une belle amélioration une fois branché sur mon filtre secteur Isotek ! Ce n est pas un changement mais bel et bien une amélioration et pas des moindres ! Un net gain en dynamique, l aigu est bien meilleur, les duretés qui étaient auparavant désagréables ont disparu, le medium est plus fluide et… le grave est maintenant phénoménal avec plus de profondeur, de nuance, de tenue…
Un net gain en naturel et surtout plus de plaisir à l écoute de la musique.
J avoue être très surpris du résultat et je ne peux plus revenir en arrière désormais. L écoute sans le SNS Plug est pour moi impensable.
Ces résultats valent pour mon système, cela va de soi. Je pense qu en fonction de la qualité du courant arrivant chez vous le gain en musicalité sera plus ou moins marqué mais malgré tout bien présent. Un ami étant présent lors du premier essai du SNS Plug, celui ci ma demandé un essai chez lui vu l amélioration chez moi.
Je vais maintenant me tourner vers le QA Plug…

J ai fait l acquisition d un sns et un qa, puis d un schuman
Tous les paramètres musicalité, naturel et dynamique sont monté d un cran. L image holographique a gagné en aération et en precision. L emplacement des instruments et des vocaux et encore plus riche en matière, fluidité et le côté mineral font de l ecoute un tableau realiste sur des concerts live, les cuivres, les cordes, et que dire des tambours etc ont plus de corps, ils sont magnifiques. Bref bravo a Kemp. Ses petites boîtes sont genial. Trouvez le bonne emplacement et poser vous dans vôtre fauteuil, avec un drink, et profiter de l ecoute de vos meilleurs tubes. 😁

This is the most effective, immediate tuning measure I’ve ever had; the effect is breathtaking. About 2-3 weeks ago, I bought the QA plug, and the effect was fantastic. The effect of the SNS plug far exceeds that of the QA. Extreme dynamics, greatly improved resolution with previously unknown detail, more powerful bass, brilliant highs, extremely natural-sounding mids, including vocals… I can only speak in superlatives and constantly get goosebumps. Does it replace the QA? No. The effect(s) add up; after trying out removing the QA, everything becomes somewhat less noticeable. I never want to and will never listen to music without either plug again. People: buy it, or you’ll regret it, seriously!
