Building on the development of the SRX XL AC cable almost a year prior, Synergistic Research now applies a similar approach towards SRX XL interconnects to achieve a new benchmark in performance without compromising SRX XL‘s flexibility. Across the line, they scaled up the number of its internal hand-made air-dielectric pure silver high-current geometries. Additional pure silver geometries and additional pure silver AirString geometries were added to be able to offer a new world standard where high conductive pure silver conductors in an air dielectric are concerned. With SRX XL interconnects, SR developed an all-new UEF compound applied to the matrix shielding, which further lowers each cable’s noise floor while lessening restraints a shield may have on signal transmission.

The cables are run-in through a further improved high voltage treatment, resulting in cables that sound even more open and accurate than the original SRX. The SRX XL takes SRX’s industry-leading dynamics to a whole new level while also improved nearly all aspects of its performance, including soundstaging, lower noise floor, and increased high-frequency extension with added smoothness.

SRX + Master Carbon Cable Tuning Modules
Redefining Refinement

SRX XL cables come standard with the most potent and musical SRX Master and Gold carbon fiber UEF Tuning Bullets in the company’s 30-year history. The bullets are specially voiced for the SRX cable series so you can strike the perfect balance between detail and musicality for your system. Both Gold and Master bullets are handcrafted in the Southern California Factory from carbon fiber and aircraft aluminum, with the Gold bullet plated in 24k gold, not only for aesthetic beauty, but also to help voice the bullet to its intended role as the most musical option for specific systems. To use SRX Carbon Fiber Tuning Modules, allow your SRX cables to settle into your system for 48-72 hours, and then experiment with your two options on a cable by cable basis.

Start by inserting a Gold Bullet and then compare to the Master option and select the variant that makes music in your system. Gold Bullets have a warm and liquid balance that is also more open and transparent than the other warm-biased tuning bullets, while Master is more extended and detailed. But remember: the option that will work best and sound neutral is totally system dependent. If you voice your SRX cables one pair at a time, you will find one color that works best in most applications, plus a few that perform better with the alternate option. This process is how you will get the best from both Gold and Master bullets when arriving at a bespoke cable loom voiced for your unique system. Connectors are not all created equal

After years of research into connector design SR chose high purity, high conductivity, low mass silver as the base material for SR20 RCA and XLR connectors to deliver more refined detail and accurate information. Teflon is used for its dielectric properties and the special design gives the greatest area of contact both for wire and plugs, insuring that all of your music will get through. These high performance connectors are standard on the flagship Interconnects and can be added to other cable series interconnects as a performance driven upgrade path.

SRX XL High Voltage Conditioning

The new SRX XL High Voltage Conditioning is SR’s most advanced process for treating cables with 1,000,000 volts of electricity at specific frequencies and pulse modulations for long durations, creating a canal in the conductor material and contact points at the molecular level that allows electrons to flow more freely. This new process improves upon the SRX High Voltage Conditioning process by employing new extended duration sweeping frequency plots and advancements to the Tesla Coil used to burn these cables in, resulting in SRX XL cables to sound even more open and accurate than the cables before them.
