Discover your power
Synergistic Research Galileo Discovery power cables are ten parallel geometries that evolved over 25 years of continual power cord development. They then add their highest performance Active EM Cell, first developed for SR25 and SRX power cords making this a high-resolution power cord and an active AC filter to eliminate cross-contamination between analog and digital components. And for enhanced performance, Galileo Discovery’s shield can be optionally grounded to any Synergistic Research Active or passive Ground Block, including our Galileo Active Ground Block for an even lower noise floor with improved holographic realism.
Next, they use a Swiss-made power supply to improve the Galileo Discovery’s Active Noise Canceling EM Cell encased in carbon fiber. This powers the cable’s Active DC Biased Shield and UEF Technology first developed for Purple Fuses and the SRX cable loom. Usually cables as detailed and transparent as Galileo Discovery suffer from diminished musicality due to resolution that may be too much for some systems. However, this is not the case with Galileo Discovery, thanks to a new Purple Fuse UEF Compound that fleshes out a harmonic richness. It also opens up the sound stage with extended high frequencies and bass for the most musical and detailed Galileo power cord to date. We then applied a new UEF Matrix Shielding Array first developed for SRX cables to interact with the surrounding EM Fields for the lowest noise floor possible. Finally, we treat each power cord with a new Multi-Frequency, Long-Duration High Voltage Conditioning Process from the SRX Development Program.
Galileo Discovery power cords are voiced to your system with included Gold and Silver SRX Carbon Tuning Circuits. The Silver option gives you a detailed and dynamic sound with pinpoint image placement. In contrast, the Gold variant sounds liquid and smooth but with excellent detail. For best performance, we recommend you allow these power cords to settle into your system for at least 72 hours before tuning. Then compare Gold and Silver SRX Tuning Circuits starting as high up the signal chain as possible on a cable-by-cable basis. Typically, you will prefer one color or the other in most applications but with a few applications where the opposite variant sounds best. In this way, you realize the best of both Silver and Gold, and when you’ve finished, you’ve created a bespoke power cord loom just right for your system and personal tastes. Of course, the tuning process is optional for people who prefer not to take this step.

To voice Galileo Discovery power cords to your system, we recommend you allow the cable loom to settle for at least 72 hours without tuning circuits before voicing each power cord separately. Then, start as high up the signal chain as possible, listening to your two tuning options and selecting the variant that makes music before voicing the next Galileo Discovery cable down the line. And when voicing with Galileo Discovery interconnects and speaker cables, start with a Silver UEF circuit on your speaker cables without comparing Gold to Silver options. Next, compare Gold to Silver on the interconnect pair as high up the signal chain as possible and select the option that sounds best to you. Now, voice each interconnect option Gold vs. Siver down the line until you arrive at your speaker cables. You will then compare the existing Silver circuit to the Gold UEF Tuning Circuit to arrive at a bespoke match perfect for your system. Lastly, voice your power cords Gold vs. Silver one at a time until all power cords have been voiced. As a rule, you will find one color, Gold or Silver, to sound best in most applications but with a few exceptions where the opposite color is your best fit. In this way, you achieve a custom balance perfect for your system. And should your system change in the future, you can reassess your voicing options to create the ideal match for new speakers and components without reconsidering your cable loom.
